A dating app experiment on Tinder in Madrid found that synthetic White profiles received significantly more matches and conversations than equivalent Black profiles, even when attractiveness, bios, and other features were held constant. The results align with documented offline racial and xenophobic patterns in Spain, including housing discrimination, police profiling, and regional prejudice.
